Co-leading Convenor of Session H10 at CGU 2026

I was honored to serve as one of the two co-leading convenors of Session H10, Bridging Observations and Models: Hydrological Processes Across Scales in the Boreal Region, at the Canadian Geophysical Union (CGU) Annual Meeting 2026.
The session brought together researchers studying boreal hydrological processes across a range of spatial and temporal scales. Through presentations and discussions, participants explored how field observations, experiments, remote sensing, and modeling approaches can be integrated to improve our understanding of water, energy, and carbon cycling in various ecosystems.
I am especially grateful to my fellow co-leading convenor, Dr. Danqiong Li, for inviting me to join the organizing team. It was a pleasure to work together in developing the session proposal, coordinating contributors, and organizing the session from conception to completion.
I would also like to thank Dr. Adam Wei (University of British Columbia) for delivering an invited presentation on hydrological responses to cumulative disturbances in forested watersheds across scales. His talk provided valuable insights into how hydrological responses vary across watersheds of different sizes and highlighted the potential for disturbance impacts to be amplified in larger watersheds.
My sincere thanks also go to my colleagues who supported the session as convenors and contributors, including Dr. Brandon van Huizen, Dr. Natasa Popovic, Rulan Xiao (PhD Candidate), and Tim Trembath (PhD Candidate). I am equally grateful to the faculty members helped strengthen the session and broaden its perspectives.
Most importantly, I would like to thank all presenters and attendees. Their enthusiasm, thoughtful discussions, and willingness to share their research made the session highly engaging and successful.
